Eduardo (Duds) Mendes

I’m Eduardo Mendes — but most people know me as Duds. I have nearly 20 years of experience in design, with the last five focused on leading Product Design and Content Design teams, as well as driving Design Operations and Design Systems.

My goal is to craft digital products that truly meet people’s needs and expectations, through a human-centered approach grounded in research, data, testing, and iteration. In my recent roles, I’ve advanced DesignOps and Design Systems practices, building tools and facilitating processes that improve efficiency, strengthen collaboration, and ensure consistency and quality across user interfaces and business outcomes.

As a Design Lead, I’ve been responsible for the technical growth of designers, mentoring, and raising the quality of deliverables, while supporting teams with better processes, tools, and ways of working. I strive to empower and develop design professionals under my leadership, always guided by principles of diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety, fostering an environment of learning, feedback, and engagement.
